Please read about several available students and contact Karen Hamilton if you would like more info or to host! KarenLynn25@hotmail.com or (330)328-9943. www.iseusa.org

Below are some students looking for host families for the 2025/2026 school year. Please consider hosting! Head to www.iseusa.org to start the hosting process!

Lise from France

"My name is Lise, I'm sociable and a good listener, I can't wait to start this journey and meet you. I live with my parents and brother in a country town. We often go out together and I'm very close to my family. I always try to help my family. At home, I'm very independent: I cook on my own, do the housework and help with household chores. I'm patient and persevering. I've always liked going to
school, even though I was shy. Over time, I've learned to assert myself and be at ease with others. I participate a lot in class and apply myself to my work. I do my homework when I get home from school, and I don't hesitate to ask my teachers, friends or parents for help if I don't understand something."

Ricardo from Germany

"My name is Ricardo and I'm a positive and sociable fourteen-year-old boy. I would describe myself as an honest, reliable, helpful and open person who can keep himself busy. I’m a curious and adventurous person, which is one of the reasons why I would really love to visit an American High school for one year. I also like to try new things and challenge myself."

Nicolas from Germany

"My name is Nicolas and I am 15 years old. I live with my parents and my two brothers (18 years old and 11 years old) in Gauting, a town near Munich in Bavaria/South Germany. My mother works for a international bank in the real estate department, my father is actually an architect, but now works as an executive manager in an international real estate company. I attend the 10th grade at the Otto-
von-Taube Gymnasium, a public high school in Gauting. As I have chosen the language branch I will be learning at least three different languages (so far: Latin, English and French). In my free time, I do a lot of sports (mainly baseball, soccer, basketball and fitness), I also often meet up with friends and
twice a month I work in the checkroom at our small local theater to earn a little money of my own. In the winter I love to go skiing and snowboarding. By chance, I was allowed to play a minor role in two smaller film productions and continuing that I would like to join the theater group at school in the future. In the last school year I volunteered as a tutor for the fifth graders at my school, and I am also a member of a church youth group and would like to get involved as a group leader there in the future (this is only possible from the age of 16)."
