Tom Fisher

Title: Board Member

 

Tom Fisher was born and raised in Wadsworth.  After graduating WHS and the Medina County Career Center, where Tom was elected to the position of the VICA State Parliamentarian, he joined and served five years in the United States Navy.  During his service Tom received the equivalent amount of training as an Associates Degree, First Hospital Corpsman School, Field Medical Service School or combat medic, Surgical Technologist School, and finally Ocular Technician School.

After leaving the Navy, Tom met his wife of 24 years, Amanda.  Tom and Amanda have six children together, three of which are Wadsworth graduates.  Tom ran the operating room for the Novus Clinic in Tallmadge for 15 years.  During this time he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration.  In 2016 he obtained his license to sell real estate and began doing that full time.

Tom is a member of the Seville Lodge of Freemasons and the Widow's Sons Motorcycle Riding Association.  Through these charitable organizations, Tom has had the opportunity to help raise hundreds of dollars for, and actively volunteer for, organizations such as the Special Olympics, The Shriner's Hospitals, and Patriot Hunts, to name a few.

Mr. Fisher strives to make decisions based on sound, logical reasoning.  The needs of the students must be met with best practices and proven approaches.  Students and staff safety is of the utmost importance, and he is always looking for way to make responsible and reasonable improvements.
