Students New to Wadsworth High School

We look forward to welcoming students and families new to Wadsworth High School this fall. If your student enrolled over the summer, please plan to join the counselors at one of the New Student & Parent Scheduling meetings scheduled for Friday, August 11th at 10:00 a.m. in the Media Center or Monday, August 14th at 6:00 p.m. Please bring a copy of your student’s transcript and current schedule. Students from Sacred Heart do not need to attend. Students with an IEP, please schedule an appointment with your school counselor. We must have a copy of your current IEP in order to create a schedule. We most likely cannot schedule during the group orientation meetings. If your student has a 504 plan, we will also need a copy. **All newly enrolled students are encouraged to attend Freshman and New Student Orientation on August 18th at 9:00.

             Schedule Pick Up 

• Seniors 10:30-12:00 - August 16th (following College Bootcamp @ 9:30)

• Juniors 10:00-11:30 - August 17th

• Sophomores 1:00-2:30 - August 17th 

• Freshman Schedules shared during Orientation August 18th @ 9:00

Schedules will not be distributed early and can be picked up in Guidance after the scheduled times. 

 ** Students will not be allowed to pick up schedules without proof of vaccinations and final forms completed**

Next steps for participation:

*Students need to join the CCP Google Classroom (link below) and review the Participation Packet.

*Return the final four pages of the packet with parent & student signatures to the Guidance Office.  Deadline 3/31 but sooner is strongly encouraged for course planning and enrollment.

*We strongly encourage students to take the ACT.  Register HERE.  Registration deadline 11/4 for the 12/10 test.  The February 11th test will also meet deadlines.  Juniors may use scores from the March 2nd WHS ACT.

*Apply!  Apply with Akron HERE.  Application deadline 4/15 but sooner is extremely helpful for scheduling.  Students applying with Stark State need to follow their procedures and timelines.
